We are currently looking to employ a full time Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our established Psychology Department at Cygnet Hospital Churchill, comprised of a Consultant Psychologist, Qualified Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and psychology students.

The applicant will be an HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with some experience of working in inpatient settings; this post is also suitable for a newly qualified psychologist.

Cygnet Churchill is a 57 bed inpatient mental health hospital for men: three wards including an emergency acute admissions service (Juniper Ward) and two high dependency inpatient rehabilitation services (Maple Court and Mulberry Court). Our goal at Cygnet is to deliver effective evidenced based interventions aiming to improve our residents' wellbeing and reduce the risk they may pose to self or others. We offer an integrated care pathway for service users who are able to successfully move on to independent community living. This is further supported by our broad range of therapies which include third-wave CBT interventions for affect regulation, psychosis, substance misuse, as well as offender-related interventions, embedded into a strengths-based therapeutic model.

The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team on Maple Court, and would also play a role in training, supervision and service development. As a ward psychologist you will apply skills and expertise in clinical and risk assessments, collaboratively develop formulations and care plans, facilitate group and individual psychological interventions, and provide case consultations and reflective sessions for staff.

Cygnet Hospital Churchill offers excellent opportunities for training and skills development, in a warm and friendly work environment. We also offer company benefits package which includes contributory pension scheme, free life insurance, share incentive plan, free meals, childcare vouchers.
