The Lancashire and South Cumbria vaccination programme are looking to appoint three full time Programme Leads to deliver our strategic vision for vaccinating the population. Over one million people in Lancashire and South Cumbria have now received at least one COVID-19 vaccine but there is more work to do. We work across Hospitals, Vaccination Centre, Primary Care and Community Pharmacies to deliver Phase 3 and beyond of the programme including boosters, flu vaccinations and vaccinating children and young people.

The role will be an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a programme at the pace and scale never seen before. It's a chance to develop skills gained from previous experience and impact delivery from within regional leadership. While this role is is a fixed term role until 31st March 2022, the programme is an ideal springboard into future roles of leadership across the health and care system.

We are looking to appoint people who embrace change and thrive in an uncertain environment, who are skilled at managing priorities, building trust and able to challenge to ensure robust decision making. The people appointed will be a keen problem solver and have the ability to work across systems.

This role is vital to enable to success of the vaccination programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria and as such we're hopeful you'll be able to start within 8 weeks of appointment.

The salary advertised is for 37.5 hours pw. Salaries will be pro-rata if the hours are less than this. For posts on AfC payscales, new entrants to the NHS will normally commence on the first pay point.

Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS)

If the role you are applying for is identified as either controlled or regulated activity as defined in in the Safeguarding vulnerable Groups Act (2006) any offer of employment is provisional upon a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.

The Healthcare sector is exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

In line with other NHS trusts, the DBS check charge is paid by the successful candidate who has been offered the post. Candidates can choose to pay this over 1-3 months as a salary deduction. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £44.00 and for a Standard Disclosure £27.00 which includes a small handling fee.
