School Aged Immunisation Service - Children & Young Peoples' Winter 2021 Vaccination Programme.

The Community Immunisation Service delivers vaccinations to children in schools, throughout Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland.

The Service has seasonal opportunities for full and part time Administrative Assistants to work alongside our immunisation nurses who deliver vaccinations in schools.

The role will require you to drive either your own vehicle or the Trust's van (Peugeot Partner or equivalent size) for business purposes and to hold a full driving licence that allows driving of manual vehicles. Due to the nature of work all successful applicants will also require an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) certificate.

You will be based at Bridge Park Plaza, Thurmaston, but will be required to travel throughout the area and pack and transport vaccines and equipment required by the team (maximum weight 10kg). At the schools, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the immunisation nurses, ensuring that all vaccinations are accurately recorded in electronic format and that associated paperwork is available and handled confidentially and stored securely Strong IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, school staff, nursing and administrative colleagues is essential.

You will need to work as part of a large, busy team and work will be allocated using a roster based on the needs of the service. The service operates between 7am until 5pm, Monday to Friday and some Saturdays 8am until 2pm. We will consider applicants who are able to work part-time hours. However, this service requires staff who can work in schools from 7am until 5pm at least two days per week.

Successful applicants must be able to attend interviews on MS Teams week commencing the 26th July 2021.
