Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is committed to improving the Health and Wellbeing of the population and reducing inequalities. The Health Board is leading the way in implementing a Population Health Management approach to improve population health outcomes. Central to this approach is the sourcing, analysis and interpretation of data to inform planning and delivery. This post will provide crucial analytical expertise to support these initiatives and inform service development for the improvement of population health care services.

This post will be managed by the Principal Analyst and is designed to ensure high level analytical support to the Director of Public Health as well as leadership, support and guidance to the Cwm Taf Local Public Health Team, colleagues across the Health Board, including Primary Care and the Public Service Board.

As well as utilising tools such as Population Segmentation and Risk stratification to inform services, the role will also support wider public health areas. This may include the analysis and reporting of population health outcomes related to health behaviours, clinical risk factors and chronic disease.

As a senior member of the Team, you will be a self-starter with clearly demonstrable experience of having worked in public health intelligence or a related area. You will be given a broad range of responsibilities including leadership of specific areas of public health intelligence, for example health care and population health data analyses. The post holder will be expected to have line management responsibility for more junior analysts. This will include development and performance management tasks. You will work closely with the Consultant in Public Health to help Cwm Taf University Health Board deliver the transformational Population Health Management programme.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
