The Mid Cheshire Hospitals IT Service Desk is looking to appoint two IT Support Apprentices.

This apprenticeship post offers an exciting training opportunity to support the IT department. You will help the team to deliver a high-quality service to the Trust. This role is a great opportunity for someone with the right drive and ambition to learn and provide administrative support within the team. We are a highly motivated team and pride ourselves in the service we provide. You will be trained to assist with effectively supporting the administration function of the IT Service Desk. You will assist the Technical team in the day to day administration duties which include enquires, managing and tracking requests for support, reporting, asset management and also supporting projects and senior staff in day to day operational duties. The role will require managing the work queues for the Service Desk teams, in ensuring requests are processed effectively, this will include maintaining documentation and getting to meet the staff within the Trust. This role will typically involve the duties below:

· Answering and handling inbound telephone calls and emails to our service.

· Providing first-line support to staff for hardware and software equipment.

· Assist with the setting up of computers, computer-linked equipment, and computer-related equipment.

· Assist with the maintenance and repair of computers, computer-linked equipment, and computer-related equipment.

· Installing and configuring software applications.

· Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques.

· Helping to produce and maintain IT statistics, reports, checklists, and other documentation, as necessary.

· Assisting with the upkeep of the IT asset inventory.

· Maintaining satisfactory standards of safety and security in relation to computer rooms and equipment.

· Undertaking any other relevant duties as may reasonably be requested by the Group IT Manager.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.

· Working as part of a team with the ability to work on your own initiative, as necessary.
