Blue Engineering is an award-winning structural engineering firm with a nationally acclaimed Apprenticeship program. Projects will range from residential/commercial and the arts sector.

Apprentice engineers will study a Civil Engineering (BEng) undergraduate degree on a day release program with Southbank University. This role is progressive and will develop as the apprentice moves through the course. As the apprentice gains more skills, knowledge and experience through their work and study, they will begin learning how to engineer their own projects with support from our well-seasoned engineers.

Initially, an apprentice's work will involve:
  • Site inspections - accompanying engineers on site visits to assess and survey the site

  • Liaising with the design team and clients
  • Estimating - preparing detailed estimates and producing information on the quantity and type of materials to be used
