What will the apprentice be doing?
What'll you be doing? Over the two-year program you'll split your time between learning on site at the Drax Power Station and at our training providers learning hub. The hub might not be local to you, but that's okay as we'll provide the transport to get you there and back, (and if needed a nice place to stay for the week too!) You just need to be able to get to us.
Alongside studying you'll be working with the latest technologies to ward off cyber threats, as well as developing a practical understanding of network infrastructure, software and data to identify vulnerabilities and apply appropriate controls. There'll be fresh challenges each day. From ethical hacking to digital forensics to cryptography, there's lots to sink your teeth into.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Starting in September 2021, you'll gain hands on experience in a future-thinking, technology-focused energy company whilst working towards a degree. At the end of your 2 years, you'll come out with a BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Technical Professional Degree.
