This is an exciting opportunity to work in an ever-expanding and dynamic industry in Bournemouth. As part of this role, you will be working closely alongside the director to develop your skills.

Little Greenhouse works with a number of businesses and organisations around the local Bournemouth & Poole area, as well as further afield in London.

Our clients are in various industries including restaurants, property, tourism, food and storage, so you will learn about each of these areas of business and how to support them to the best of your abilities and maintaining a high level of service at all times.

You will be working in the Charminster area of Bournemouth in the modern-style Little Greenhouse office and will be provided with a work laptop. It is a fairly casual office and designed to be comfortable to maximise productivity.

Main responsibilities will include (but not limited to)
  • Ongoing maintenance and bug fixes that arise within the software as well as providing front-line support
  • Design and implementation of new functionality within the software/website
  • Handling technical enquiries
  • Support. Listening to customers real challenges, understanding them, and working with the team to find solutions.
  • Running system reports
  • Data entry and validation

Skills you will learn
  • JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3 and Node.js
  • Experience developing RESTful Web Services using Node.js.
  • Knowledge of web development in PHP and its frameworks
  • MySQL databases and writing SQL queries
  • Experience with source version control tools
  • MongoDB Databases

Desired qualifications

  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) A-C/9-4, must have maths and English

Future prospects

Full time job role after the apprenticeship is finished for the right candidate.
