From our computer-based solutions all the way to our state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators (FFS), improving the training experiencing and creating safer skies is at the heart of everything we do. Our Fixed Training Devices (FTD) and FFS feature aircraft-specific flight decks, offering the form, fit, feel, and function of the actual aircraft. Our airline pilot training systems cover the complete training spectrum, whether its systems knowledge, procedure training or jet transition we have the solutions for you.

We're looking for the next generation who will continue to innovate in our business and deliver to our customers within the aviation industry. An Apprenticeship position in our Operations and Test Team will see you gaining invaluable experience in the real world. In the Operations and Test Department we build from nuts and bolts to the finished product, also testing the device to ensure it is safe and works as designed. You will be working alongside a fully skilled and experienced team where you will share in the everyday challenges, develop new skills and acquire a fascinating insight into our business.

Day to day responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Detailed fitting and integration work
  • Basic visual commissioning
  • Basic PCB repair/building
  • Mechanical commissioning and fault finding
  • Basic metal work activities
  • Manual lifting as required
  • Working with technical drawings and other specification documents
  • Wire wrapping / soldering, and simulator wiring activities
  • Basic electrical commissioning and fault finding

Personal qualities

  • We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who really want to make the most of a practical Apprenticeship, working in a complex, international and fast paced environment, pushing the boundaries of what can be learnt and experienced during an Apprenticeship

Desired qualifications

  • 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade 4/C or above to include English, mathematics and Science (a Technology based GCSE would be an advantage)

Then either
  • 3 A Levels to include Maths and Physics

  • BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline

Future prospects

  • Our Apprentices will enrol on and follow our Professional Development Scheme leading to professional recognised qualifications
