As a DevOps Apprentice you will be:
  • Working on supporting and assisting with the delivery of Cloud-based pipelines for the companies new flagship digital products
  • Closely involved in learning and supporting their internal and external projects, ongoing infrastructure improvements and maintenance of environments
  • Involved with the deployment and automation of the Cloud-based platform, automating application configuration through API's

Other responsibilities include:
  • Deployment of the Cloud-based platform
  • Application and Infrastructure monitoring
  • Automating repetitive system and network administration tasks
  • Performance tuning across multiple platforms

Desired qualifications

Entry requirements:
  • Level 3 Software apprenticeship, or
  • A Level in a STEM subject (within the Technology and maths fields only), or
  • BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test, or,
  • A minimum of 12 months of work experience within an IT role.

Specific roles that are acceptable are:
  • IT Support roles e.g. Help Desk, First line
  • Software Development Roles

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

The learners would still be required to successfully pass the Aptitude Test at first attempt.

Future prospects

If you are successful in your apprenticeship, you will be offered a fulltime position in the company on completion with revised pay and benefits package.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
