We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

The trust take a positive and proactive approach to support staff in their personal development and has embedded the Talent Management approach within the Trust, with the vision of helping people to be as good as they can be, helping TEWV to do things better.

Applicants must have a good general education to GCSE level and have substantial experience of working within an office environment within a similar role. It is expected that this would be in a recruitment role using an electronic recruitment based system.

You will have completed an NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin/Customer Care or equivalent Or have completed a relevant apprenticeship programme at NVQ level 2 and be willing to complete an NVQ level 3 within 12 Months. You will also have a sound knowledge of office and/or personnel procedures.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of working with computer based packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, Internet based systems and applications.

As the department works very much as a team, applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to work as a team player whilst being flexible in their approach.

The post equally demands communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, the attributes required to work on their own initiative and the ability to maintain confidentially in all areas of their work.

In the event that permanent funding is secured, the successful applicant will be confirmed in this post on a permanent basis.
