This is an entry level opportunity that is suited to an individual who is looking for the chance to gain experience in compliance work in the ever-evolving Tax industry. Our Corporate Tax Unit are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to undertake the completion of SDLT returns for residential property transactions. You will be part of a team focused on delivering excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.

With excellent training opportunities from day one, you will be full supported in your professional and soft skills development. You will gain valuable workplace experience whilst working towards the Level 4 ATT Professional Taxation Technician apprenticeship with BPP University.

Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Preparing reconciliations
  • Creating monthly accounting reports
  • Contributing to accounts prep
  • Completing audit tests
  • Understanding and maintaining the highest ethical standards
  • Submitting tax retrusn within deadlines
  • Learn how to create an aged trade receivables analysis
  • Learn how to tailor information for the recipient
  • Assist colleagues with training and support
  • Learn how to use the IT systems and become aware of external IT systems
  • Provide information & deal with enquiries as they arise

  • Readiness to ask questions and seek advice from others in the Corporate Tax team
  • Ability to think ahead and to prioritise transactions in order to hit statutory deadlines
  • No prior legal or tax knowledge is necessary; the Corporate Tax team will train the successful candidate

  • Discretion and professionalism


Desired qualifications

Our successful candidate will have three A-Levels graded A-C and at least five GCSE's graded A* - C/9 - 4 or equivalent.

Future prospects

Upon completion, the apprentice may be eligible to progress to the Level 7 Taxation Professional.
