Key Responsibilities:

Product:
  • To help manage the supply chain to 100% product availability over our seven (7) day operation
  • To ensure 100% productivity and efficiency in the department
  • To help develop and maintain a team with an exceptional level of product knowledge
  • To provide an end product that is always exceptional
  • To work with marketing teams to help develop promotional activity for the department
  • To partake in and oversee the preparation of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • Monthly sales are increasing year on year at the same or greater than the footfall to the site
  • Product feedback from customers is as good as it can be
  • Trip Advisor reviews and feedback are in the main, positive

People:
  • To ensure that the department is fully resourced at all times
  • To have regular team briefings

To help develop and motivate a team that:
  • Is fully motivated, has high morale and strives for excellence
  • Plans well and is organised
  • Has completed all initial and ongoing training
  • Is fully briefed on issues of policy and general business initiatives
  • Has full product knowledge of items that we sell or produce
  • Has good general knowledge of the business
  • Always meets your expectations and never lets you down
  • Shows respect to all other team members, customers and anyone you, and your team, come into contact with while representing the company

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • Staff turnover is 15% per annum or less
  • The team will carry out any reasonable duty on behalf of the company

Customers:
  • To always deliver the highest possible standards of customer service
  • To always listen to and act customer and colleague requests, clarify and act on their feedback
  • To pre-empt customers' needs and exceed their expectations
  • To, as a team, be always presentable, smartly dressed, clean shaven with a clean and hygienic uniform
  • To never, as a team, ever hesitate to serve a customer

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • Customers are increasing year on year
  • Trip Advisor and feedback forms report exceptional service across our seven (7) day operation

Financial Performance:
  • To have a good understanding of budgets and how you and your team actions may affect them
  • To achieve KPI's using business strategies
  • To ensure that all actions are focused on business growth

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • You and your team take all steps to ensure maximum efficiency alongside minimum waste

Environment:
  • To ensure that internal and external department areas are safe, tidy and well organised to prevent hazards to food, drink or people
  • To ensure the whole department is sufficiently cleaned with all appropriate records completed
  • To ensure all equipment is fit for purpose and regularly maintained
  • To ensure that the physical layout is such to promote optimum output
  • To ensure that all areas in customer view are clean, tidy and promote the reputation of the quality the business aims to achieve at all times

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • Internal and external audit scores are above satisfactory
  • EHO results are consistently good

Legislation:
  • To ensure that all hazardous items and materials are stored and used appropriately
  • To ensure that the department conforms to all food safety, health and safety, trading standards and any other regulatory guidelines
  • To ensure that all monitoring and record keeping is correct and current

You will know when you are doing your job well when:
  • Internal and external audit scores are above satisfactory.
  • EHO results are consistently good.

Apprentices must show commitment to the following:
  • To achieve apprenticeship framework (Functional Skills, NVQ and Technical Certificate) within the specified time frame
  • Attend the apprenticeship induction programme
  • Attend all of the training sessions for the programme whenever necessary
  • Undertake any other required development work as part of the apprenticeship programme as requested
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by senior staff
  • Apprenticeships start throughout the year and are open to any age of candidate.=

Desired qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 GSCEs at grade 4/C or above (or the equivalent) to include English and maths
  • Ideally have at least 12 months experience in a management or hospitality supervisor role
  • Alternatively have a Level 3 qualification in Hospitality or Team Leading


Future prospects

  • Full time role for the right candidate with opportunities to progress to higher level management qualification
