An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Pharmacy for a dynamic and motivated pharmacist to join the Governance team to establish the role of Procurement and Homecare Lead Pharmacist working across North Wales.

The post holder will be expected to develop the Pharmacy Homecare team to support and drive efficiency and safety in the procurement of specialist high cost drugs for Betsi Cadwaladr University Hospital (BCU). The successful candidate will provide strategic pharmaceutical leadership in the procurement of medicinal products for BCU working closely with the hospital pharmacy procurement teams to ensure the quality of all medicines purchased by BCUHB are compliant with best practice in line with purchasing for safety.

The role will involve working closely with BCU consultants and specialist pharmacists as well as with the All Wales Drug Procurement Team to ensure that BCU is well placed to maximize all drug contract negotiations agreed on an all Wales basis.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
