An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant Technical Officer to join the expanding team of staff, pharmacists, technicians, ATO's and assistants delivering a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to the patients of South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation trust.

The post holder will participate in the dispensing of prescriptions, requisitions and ward stocks to the wards and departments at The Friarage Hospital. There is also an exciting opportunity to rotate onto the ward clinical teams to provide a direct discharge service to the patients on the wards.

Applicants will have a recognised dispensing qualification and experience of working in a dispensary either in community or hospital pharmacy. Applicants will have good communication skills and work well in a team.

In house training will be provided.

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
