The focus of your role
You’ll know all too well just how confusing some websites can be – how many times has Alexa, Google or Siri misunderstood you? As a user experience professional, you’ll use different techniques to find out users’ needs, motivations and pain points and inform the design and content of a system or service.
It’s something that calls for a wide range of skills, as you’ll interview users, create detailed plans, ideate innovative designs, produce effective content, understand, and extrapolate data, facilitate workshops, present research findings and more.
As a content designer you will design, construct and simplify the content used across services. Producing readable and understandable content for a wide and diverse range of users in order for them to achieve their goals.
As an interaction designer you will produce innovative designs, iterate prototypes and bring ideas to life. You will work closely with user researchers and content designers to test ideas and build understandable content into your designs.
As a user researcher you will be the voice of the user. Identifying, understanding and empathising with their needs in order to help shape the design of services. You will work directly with users to test designs and content so that their needs and goals are met.
