We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 ICU Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit based at our main Hospital (London, W1G) with an inclusive salary range on offer of £36,479 - £40,890 per annum. Job Description

The Staff Nurse is responsible for the delivery of high standard patient centred care, this includes the appropriate assessment and evaluation of the nursing interventions.

Job Type:Permanent and Full Time

Shifts:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (Days/Nights/Weekends)

Benefits package:We offer a comprehensive package including a contributory pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%), Private Medical Healthcare, 33days annual leave (inclusive), as well as a wide range of other benefits. There is also a 10% night shift enhancement available for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead on the delivery of individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, ensuring the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation is in line with evidence base practices;
  • Communicate effectively with dignity and respect to patients, relatives, staff and others considering potential barriers to understanding;
  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive nursing records are maintained using appropriate IT Healthcare systems available;
  • Correctly use the equipment available in the clinical settings in accordance with the instructions, training received and departmental procedures, reporting any faults as necessary

Skills & Experience
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Minimum of 1-year recent experience in a UK Hospital Intensive Care setting preferable
  • Familiar with basic physiology and have a theoretical knowledge base for acute nursing, including mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapies and advance haemodynamic monitoring.
  • Good knowledge on routine medication administered in Intensive Care Settings
