Apprentice Information Co-Ordinator

FIXED TERM 2 YEAR APPRENTICESHIP POST, BAND 4 (subject to Annex 21 Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions)

At BTHFT we believe that data is a critical component in shaping patient care and improving outcomes. The Business Intelligence (BI) team play a vital role, ensuring complex information from a wide range of clinical and administrative systems is available to users at all levels of the organisation, driving improved decision making about patient care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fixed Term (2 years) Apprentice Information Coordinator to join the Business Intelligence (BI) team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As the role is a supported Apprenticeship, the successful candidate will benefit from supported learning from a specialist training provider and work towards a recognised data analyst qualification with the hope of supporting a successful long-term future career within the information industry.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated candidate to join our dynamic, Trust wide service. The post holder will provide analytical and technical support in the; development, analysis, interpretation and presentation of routine and ad hoc requests for data for a range ofinternal and external stakeholders to meet national requirements. They will work collaboratively with the BI team to promote & support the continued development and improvement of data quality across BI services, quality assuring outputs before they are distributed to stakeholders/customers.

The Information Coordinator will liaise with information users; administrative, managerial and clinical staff to ensure information outputs meet needs and expectations, highlighting opportunities for improved customer service to senior team members for action.

We are looking for an forward thinking information enthusiasts to help shape the future of our self-service, real time intelligence strategy. We are looking for creativity and initiative, to continually innovate and develop improvements to the reporting systems and processes that we operate. Working with staff in the BI team and wider Informatics department, you will support the flow of information throughout the organisation to improve insight into activity, performance and quality of care.

This will require working with staff at a range of levels within the organisation such as; information staff, service users and leads, other relevant stakeholders including heads of services/directors.

The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
