Do you enjoy teaching and supporting the learning of others?

Have you had experience in the assessment and management of the deteriorating patient?

Do you have an acute nursing or critical care background?

Have you knowledge of the current electronic system that we use to record the National Early Warning Score 2 and associated assessments?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual whose key role will be to support the delivery of an innovative programme of education working towards the trust wide implementation of a new electronic system. The new suite of electronic solutions will include physiological observations, assessments and digital escalation of deteriorating patients to the senior teams.

This will require the delivery of education and training in the key areas of:

Recording physiological observations and associated assessments driven by the logic of the new electronic platform decision making support

The recognition of acute illness and response to the deteriorating patient - staff responsibilities and actions directed by the new digital platform

The electronic alerting escalation process for ensuring that deteriorating patients are seen promptly by senior multi-professional team members to expedite appropriate response to acute illness

The successful post holder will be ready for the challenge of working in very different clinical areas as the initial implementation plan includes the acute hospitals, primary and secondary care, and then a phased planned role out to midwifery and paediatric specialities.

We are seeking an individual who is willing to work alongside healthcare staff in the clinical areas and has the ability to develop practice.

The role involves close collaborative working with multi-disciplinary colleagues across the trust and local education institutes to facilitate the continued development and maintenance of high quality learning and workforce development.
