An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse to join the East Community Interventions Pathway shropshire.We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to join the team in Telford.

The Post will be based at Fuller House in Telford but you will be expected to work across the East of the County as needs arise (Telford, Market Drayton and Bridgnorth).

The Community Interventions Pathway is one of a number of clinical pathways within community mental health services which, in addition to meeting service user needs, allows development of skills within the specialism.

What we are looking for:

Successful applicants will be able to function autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams. There will be an expectation that the post holder will work flexibly, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and effective clinical reasoning.

The post will involve a responsibility for your own caseload of varying complexity. There is also opportunity to take part in co-facilitating group work as one of the interventions offered within the pathway. The aim of the pathway is to help improve people's mental health by increasing people's emotional, social and practical functioning through a range of itnerventions including group therapy interventions, pharmacological interventions, and 1-1 interventions/therapies.

There is an emphasis on team based multi-disciplinary decision making which lends itself to creating a supportive environment for staff. We have range of clinicians wthin the MDT including, OT's, Nurses, Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Support workers,, and student's, we have a culture of active service development with staff of all bands and experience being involved in this process. There is opportunity within the team to attend group supervision, complex case formulation and we value 1-1 supervision with all staf within the pathway to ensure effective support is given in the post.

The environment can be fast paced and challenging, however, highly rewarding. Your role will involve working with other agencies, families, carers and local communities. Experience of working within a community mental health setting is desirable.

A valid UK driving license plus the use of your own car for business purposes is essential due to the large rural nature of our catchment area; for qualifying staff the Trust has a lease car scheme in place.
