We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to apply for a 12 month fixed term contract or be seconded to work in the Post COVID19 team as part of the MY Therapy Community Rehabilitation Team.

The post will involve managing the Physiotherapy requirements for this group of patients referred to the MY Therapy service.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside our Band 7 Specialist Post COVID19 Physiotherapist within the Respiratory specialty section of the service. The postholder will assist in continuing to develop this specialist area of the team and provide the Physiotherapy intervention for this group of patients accepted onto the service.

The post will be an evolving one and there will be opportunity to support the B7 Physiotherapist in continuing to develop the Post COVID19 pathway so will involve both clinical and service development opportunities.

The work will involve:

- To take a lead role in the assessment and triage of COVID 19 patients

- To work alongside the cardiorespiratory therapy team to deliver cardiorespiratory assessment and treatment in the community setting, to include pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation.

- To contribute to Post COVID-19 specialist and therapy MDT meetings.

- Provide clinical support to Post COVID-19 Triage Assessment Service Coordinator.

Much of the current work is carried out over the phone or virtually via Attend Anywhere but clinics at both Pinderfields Hospital and Church View Health Centre are available and of course seeing patients in their own home is encouraged where required.

The post can be offered as 12 month fixed-term contract or a secondment opportunity. If applying for a secondment, please ensure that you have discussed and agreed this with your current manager before submitting an application.
