We are looking for a dynamic and innovative administration team leader, who is looking for a new challenge.

The main function to the role will be supervising the administration team supporting them in their roles, ensuring the service runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively as possible. Ensuring that clinics are booked to safe capacity, staff and equipment are available and that the team feels safe and supported.

The role also allows for the opportunity to expand your work into a variety of interesting avenues including training to become an Orthotics Assistant. As a trained Orthotics Assistant you will be able to assist patients with a variety of tasks outside the typically administrative role, such as helping to fit insoles and simple orthotic devices as well as assisting the Orthotists as required.

The successful candidate will enjoy a challenge and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. They will preferably have prior experience in leading a team, managing staff, monitoring performance and problem solving. They must possess excellent communication and strong leadership skills.

The right candidate will be well organised, and capable of prioritising work on their own initiative. They will be skilled at liaising with others and using a variety of approaches on a regular basis to do so, including, telephone, email and in person across a wide range of staff both internally and external to the Trust. They will be adaptable and flexible with a passion for quality improvement and best practice.

The post is based at Maple Place, St Marys Road, Poole, BH15 2LG - please note there is no parking available on-site at Maple Place. The role will involve the occasional need to travel between sites.

In addition, we will support your growth and development through access to work based learning and apprenticeship schemes. To support this additional learning you will be given the minimum equivalent of one day per week to formally study for your apprenticeship and approximately 18 month's educational programme. Training will take place after a successful probationary period.

If you have administrative/supervisor experience: you will be enrolled onto the Senior Healthcare Support Worker level 3 apprenticeship, following the Adult Care pathway. This is taught via classroom sessions with Bournemouth and Poole College, at their Lansdowne Campus.

If you have healthcare experience: you will be enrolled onto the Team Leader level 3 apprenticeship. This is taught via work-based and distance learning.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
