What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Processing of primary accounting entries
  • Preparation of supplier invoice payment runs and reviewing ledgers
  • Preparation and posting of payroll and nominal journals
  • Draft preparation of fixed asset register, accruals and prepayment schedules
  • Assist with preparation of regulatory returns
  • Tax - gathering and analysis of information
  • Preparation of basic statutory financial statements
  • Interacting with clients to deliver advisory projects, developing leadership and management skills

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will have an induction period of three months to get to know and understand the role, tasks, clients and business. After this you will enrol on a level 7 apprenticeship study programme to achieve either the ACCA or ICAEW qualification.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of a six month probation period, you will have a permanent position as a ' Business Trainee' Accountant. Once qualified, our accountants can advance their specialist expertise managing client relationships, pursue a career in management and leadership or use your accountancy skills in other areas of our global business.

Things to consider

• You will have a minimum of 12 month's experience working within accountancy practice; • To be eligible for the apprenticeship study programme you will either be new to the qualification or be part qualified AAT/ACA/ACCA (with no less than four PQ modules left to complete)
