- To assist in the management of the standard costing accounts in the balance sheet. Maintaining accurate reconciliations of the accounts ensuring that over/under provisions are identified. Produce timely and relevant analysis in order that action can be taken to maintain the accuracy of the financial model and avoid significant one-off impacts to the business results
- Analyse costs & populate general ledger coding and narrative on the invoices for use in the standard costing reconciliations & overheads. Ensure that the charges raised are accurate and valid. Working closely with Procurement and Finance colleagues to address invoicing and cost issues where appropriate
- Perform quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet standard costing accounts for scheduled routes along with other direct operating costs, as advised by Finance Business Partners & Finance Manager
- Monitor revisions to airport charges & forecast assumptions and summarise the financial impact & action relevant reforecasts
- Assist in annual budget preparation as required
- Raise sales invoices on a timely basis and ensure that they are settled within terms
- Support month end processes by preparing accrual workings & analysis for review
- Assist the Finance Business Partner in performing quarterly analysis of the overheadcosts along with commentary and variance investigation
- Reconcile and produce intercompany reporting for review.
- Manage the approval of all direct operating cost recharges from British Airways, maintaining contact with colleagues throughout the organisation
- Maintain process maps and notes on duties undertaken
- Proactively look for workflow improvements within the function to drive efficiencies.
- Support the finance team on ad hoc project work
- Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure understanding of and provide accurate provisions for the airport rebate/incentives. Raise with Finance Manager any issues concerning payment
- Support Accounts Payable Assistants with queries & invoice processing as required

- High degree of numeracy and good analytical skills - able to analyse complex data
- Sound communication skills and ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and appropriately at all levels
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Computer literate and a sound understanding of MS Excel functionality(Ability to develop expertise in lookups and pivot tables)
- Previous experience working within a finance function desirable
- Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles including double entry, accruals, prepayments, and an understanding of relationships between the balance sheet and profit and loss account
- Experience of performing account reconciliations
