The main purpose of the AprenticeProject Manager is to learn and gain the skills required to become a fully trained Project Manager.

As part of this development you will be expected to gain a recognised, relevant qualification through attendance at Darlington College on a part time basis.

As an ApprenticeProject Manager, you will be working with a team of established Project Managers initially in a supporting role to learn the skills required to progress and become fully competent.

Duties will include:
  • Support the team, develop and maintain project documentation such as business cases, project plans, time schedules, cost plans, communication plans, risk registers, issue registers, lessons learned logs and action trackers
  • Risk Management: support the team to ensure that project risks and opportunities and are identified and appropriate risk responses developed to mitigate their impact
  • Scheduling: support the team in preparing realistic time schedules in Excel and Microsoft project that identify all relevant work packages, milestones and dependencies
  • Contributing to the management of projects and work packages to the required time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits performance parameters
  • Assist in producing monthly project performance reports to monitor actual progress and identify any actions required to keep projects on target
  • Support the team to produce high quality proposals for new client mandates

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes, able to work intuitively and liaise effectively
  • IT literate, comfortable with using MS Office including Email, PowerPoint, Word and Excel for analysis and presentations
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally
  • Support senior colleagues to anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of the business

  • Resilient and comfortable working in a fast moving professional environment with challenging deadlines
  • Flexible and willing to travel as required to other Agilia offices and clients across the UK


Desired qualifications

  • 5 x GCSE's A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent
  • Mustinclude maths and English any applications that can not provide evidence of these will be marked as unsuccessful
  • Applicants will need be educated to at leastA-level standard or equivalent, this is an ideal opportunity for a graduate candidate


Future prospects

  • It is expected that there will be a long term permament position upon successful completion of apprenticeship
