A broad range of accounting and finance tasks will be undertaken providing experience across our activities. Tasks at some point would include:
Processing client accounting and tax data, including:
General admin, including a lot of ad-hoc duties, assisting colleagues in the Finance Department
Both practical and theoretical training will be undertaken, with an aim to ultimately becoming a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)

Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
Attention to detail, meticulous, highly competent Excel skills, strong customer service ethos.
Personal qualities
Flexible, strong team player, interest in animals.

Future prospects
For those displaying both excellent progress through their studies and in their development in the office, we would consider supporting progression to the ACA (ICAEW) qualification via the Level 7 Accountancy Professional Apprenticeship.
Things to consider
We work in a rural community. Having a driving licence allowing you to drive to clients premises is a benefit.

- Purchase ledger invoices
- Supplier payments
- Reconciling suppler statements
- Sales ledger invoices
- Customer receipts
- Business bank statement information
- Business credit card statement information
- Business expenses
- Month-end and year-end journals
- Preparation of VAT Returns
- Preparation of year end accounts
- Preparation of business and personal tax returns

- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, which must include maths & English grade 9-4 (A-C)
