We are now looking for a Trainee/Apprentice Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician to join our busy team in Brighton!

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician, to work as an integral part of our specialist Prosthetics and Orthotics team based in the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre in Brighton. This is a great opportunity to join as an apprentice to learn while you earn by undertaking an NVQ as a Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician; you'll work with an experienced team who can support and mentor you through this qualification.

Trainee/Apprentice Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician Duties:

As a technician, you'll support the smooth running of the service by making, repairing and adjusting a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic products, each one specifically designed to meet the individual patient's needs.

This is a fulfilling and challenging role for a proactive individual who wants to develop in a customer focused manufacturing environment, producing, and modifying specialist equipment precisely and effectively.

This is a busy Centre, so we'll expect you to be focused and flexible in your approach, and able to maintain high standards while operating in a pressured environment. Your team needs to be able to rely on you to complete tasks accurately and to deadline, with appropriate support.

You'll develop skills which will allow you to interpret information supplied by clinicians to manufacture, repair and adjust patient's prostheses and orthoses using a wide range of materials and tools. Working closely with clinicians, other technicians and management, you'll ensure the product meets the patient's individual needs.
