Hours:16-25 hours per week Monday-Friday

We work together as a large team providing support to each other across the group, with various specialist interest groups to tap into, including Mental Health, Neuropsychiatry, Autism and Learning Disabilities, to name a few.

Newham House:12 bed female (Opening Summer 2020) & St Williams: 12 bed male

Each unit is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntington's disease, a longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

The hospital is a modern, purpose built facility that has been designed specifically to provide a clinically led evidence based neuropsychiatric pathway for those individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge as a result of ABI or functional neurological disorders.

As a Physiotherapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass assessments, treatment and management of patients within the service.

In this role you will assess, implement and develop treatment programmes according to service user's diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly.

Prioritisation skills are key to manage the caseload of clients effectively and you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team onsite.

  • The Successful Candidate should be/have:
    • A registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council) or registering imminently
    • Experienced in the field of neuropsychiatry would be advantageous.
    • An understanding of Physiotherapy process/interventions and can take a "hands on" approach
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentation

    The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
