Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician

Are you looking to pursue or progress a career in pharmacy? Are you interested in training for a new qualification whilst still earning a wage? Here at PHU we are looking for enthusiastic, hard working individuals with organisation and communication skills, to train as Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians (PTPT) in a nationally approved and recognised apprenticeship.

This is an extensive training programme that will provide you will the necessary skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of pharmacy services including dispensary, distribution, medicines management, aseptics and procurement. Training is delivered within the workplace by our compassionate and experienced multi-skilled team, ensuring you receive the support you need to qualify as a competent and confident pharmacy technician.

By taking on this role you must be prepared to commit to study at home and meet the agreed deadlines for assignments set by the college. In return we will commit to providing you with protected study time and the resources you need to complete the apprenticeship in an inclusive, forward thinking environment.

Completion of the course will enable you to apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. The applicant must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C including maths, science and English or equivalent i.e. functional skills in maths and English, and level 2 BTEC in applied science.
