Multi-Skilled Craftsperson - (Mechanical Bias), Band 4

We are looking for a dynamic Multi-Skilled Craftsperson - (mechanical bias) to join our busy, friendly and supportive Estates & Facilities Department at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Previous Mechanical Engineer experience within a large organisation and a recognised apprenticeship / structured training programme in mechanical engineering are essential for this role.
  • Recognised apprenticeship preferably indentured of at least 4 years or completion of a structured training program in Mechanical engineering for a minimum period of 4 years
  • Mechanical & Building Plant and Equipment / Some Electrical Experience
  • Utilising BMS systems
  • Decontamination (HTM 01)
  • Medical Gas systems (HTM 02)
  • Ventilation systems (HTM 03)
  • Theatre Ventilation Systems (HTM 03)
  • Legionella L8 (HTM 04)

You will be part of the team who are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive mechanical maintenance and installation service across the Trust's estates ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.

The hours are 8am - 4pm weekdays and we will only ask that you are on-call for 1 weekend out of 5 for which you will get 2 days back in lieu during the week.
