Job Details

We are looking for a motivated / enthusiastic GP colleague to join the Beacon Medical Group, (GPs new to Partnership would be entitled to a NHS golden handshake). We are a Single Practice PCN providing care for nearly 43,000 patients over 6 sites and utilise the ARRS funding enabling a Pharmacy team (pharmacists and pharmacy technicians) Social Prescribing Team and a MSK team (first contact physiotherapists and GPwSI MSK) to address workload. We aim to provide the right care at the right time by the right person and so also have an Urgent Care team of Paramedics, Nurse Practitioners and Minor Illness nurses to address workload. We also have a dedicated Care Home Team (GP, Pharmacist and Care Co-ordinator to provide proactive care in Residential settings).

We are an innovative practice, which has evolved over time after merging 7 years ago to form the current practice. We are not afraid to look at new ways of working to gain efficiencies in our ever changing health care system. We are a stable partnership of 20 GP Partners and have 11 Salaried GPs most of whom were trainees at the practice. We have 9 GP trainers and F2 trainers as we place a strong emphasis on education, training and support, with GP registrars, Foundation Doctors, Medical Students, Paramedic trainees, Nursing trainees, as well as non-medical apprentices.

We are looking for the right GP Partner for the practice and would be open to part time working and portfolio GPs. Many of our partners have over the years developed special interests in a variety of areas: System leadership, GP appraisal, Postgraduate Education, Mentoring, Diabetes, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Forensics.
