Border to Coast's 2021 graduate program is now open for applications. The 4-year programme provides a solid foundation for a career in investment management. It starts in the Research Team, learning the foundations of investment analysis before placements across the investment functions and customer team.

Applications are encouraged from ALL degree backgrounds accompanied by a strong academic background. Border to Coast firmly believe that financial training can be taught, however intellectual curiosity and a willingness to ask, 'what if' and find new perspectives are more innate and are essential in a rapidly changing world. Successful candidates will be numerate, intellectually curious and possess the ability to compile and analyse often conflicting data into a coherent investment thesis. Collaborative conduct and a willingness to engage in respectful challenge are also required.

We will support your learning throughout the programme and beyond. Investment qualifications - Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programmes - form part of the extensive programme of training.

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership was established in 2018 in Leeds and is one of the largest pension pools in the UK. As one of eight national Local Government pools, Border to Coast oversees the investment of pensions assets, bringing together GBP55 billion from 11 Local Government Pension Scheme funds. By coming together Border to Coast helps our Partner Funds deliver improved long-term, risk adjusted returns whilst raising our collective 'voice' on responsible investing and sustainability.
