Department

The Faculty of Health and Life sciences (HLS) is a large Faculty that offers education across a number of health and social care courses Home to four specialist schools - Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing, Midwifery and paramedicine, and Leicester School of Pharmacy - the faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. Teaching reflects the latest developments in the sector and many courses have professional accreditations.

A range of work experience and volunteering opportunities enables students to develop the skills sought by graduate employers. Recent graduates have secured roles with leading employers such as AstraZeneca, Ministry of Defence and the NHS. The dedicated facilities are designed to replicate current practice and feature industry-standard equipment, enabling staff and students to undertake life changing projects to improve health and social care.

The role

As Apprenticeship Officer you will be responsible for the administrative support and compliance provision of apprenticeship programmes and act as lead administrator in respect of the faculty apprenticeship arrangements. In your new role, you will work closely with the Business Development Managers in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, ensuring that the Faculty is providing a robust and professional administrative function for its apprenticeship programme portfolio. Work with the Central Apprenticeship Team to ensure ESFA and Ofsted compliance and regulations standards are maintained. You'll be responsible for the apprenticeship compliance, managing appropriate processes and procedures and leading the compliance of the apprenticeship provision.

Ideal Candidate

To be successful, you must be an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated individual to lead and develop the administrative provision of the apprenticeship portfolio in the Faculty.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and communicative abilities/skills through your liaison with key individuals and stakeholders both within the University and with external partners. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office applications would be a bonus!

You will possess excellent organisational skills, have experience of meeting strict deadlines as well as enjoy being responsible for the management and co-ordination of workloads and ensuring that the Team and University deadlines are achieved???then this could be the perfect role for you! Knowledge of ESFA and Ofsted guidance and compliance is beneficial.
