What will the apprentice be doing?
Shadowing and assisting our Quantity Surveyors
Attending internal, client, design and progress meetings and workshops
Assisting to draft, review, and produce monthly cost reports/tender documents/pricing schedules for the projects that you will be involved in
Attending site and taking photographs monthly whilst undertaking valuations
Attending construction site meetings
Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
Data entry / document control / filing and other general office admin duties
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, equivalent to Level 4, the first year of a traditional undergraduate degree.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
If you keep going on this path you will be able to follow on this Level 4 Apprenticeship with a Level 6. If you complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship you will have a BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. You can then work towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
