Midlands and Lancashire CSU is a highly successful organisation delivering top quality support to an ever growing number of clients, recently being successful in winning contracts for Birmingham, Worcestershire, Cheshire & Mersey, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

The base location for this role is Leyland, Preston.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and capable individuals to join our Midlands and Lancashire CSU IT Service Desk as Bank Service Desk Analysts. The team provides 1st line support as our first point of contact to users via telephone, email and self service portal. The successful candidates will be expected to receive and accurately log service desk calls efficiently and in a professional manner; providing initial troubleshooting and resolution of calls, referring more complex issues to 2nd/3rd line colleagues. The post holder will also be expected to take an active role within the team and contribute to service improvement. The role is primarily based in Cheshire and with a requirement to support the clients across Midlands and Cheshire CSU's entire geography.

We are looking for team players with a confident telephone manner, good communication skills, excellent technical skills/knowledge appropriate to 1st line support and to be able to deliver objectives within an agreed time frame under pressure. Excellent people and communication skills are essential to maintain effective communication links. Previous experience of working on a Service Desk and using service management tools would be very helpful.

These are bank positions, once appointed you will undertake a period of training with the team, following this your details will be held on file and we will contact you when work becomes available. There are no guaranteed or set hours to the contract.
