The Role

If so, this could be the ideal job for you. We have a vacancy for a Radiographic Assistant in the Department of Radiology. The post involves caring for patients, preparation for examinations, housekeeping, clerical and general administrative duties in all areas including X-ray, CT and MRI Scanning, Ultrasound and Mammography, as well as assisting with PACS image processing.

You must be able to relate appropriately and sensitively to patients needs in the imaging department. Previous nursing or health care worker experience would be advantageous. You must also be able to work as an effective team member alongside Radiographers, Radiologists and Assistants to ensure the efficient provision of the imaging service.

Good interpersonal and communication and IT skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure.

Eligibility for this apprenticeship
  • Applicants 18 years old or over.
  • Must have been resident in the UK / EU for the last 3 years (evidence needs to be provided)
  • If you already hold this level or higher level qualification in the same field, you are not eligible to apply for this position.
  • Continuation in the post will be subject to successful enrolment onto the apprenticeship within the first three months of employment, and will also be subject to you remaining on the course and successful completion.

Training Provider: Dynamic Training

Qualification: Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

Level: 3

Duration: 18 months

Course Type: Apprenticeship Standard

Apprenticeship Delivery: Work based qualification. A tutor will visit you every 4-6 weeks in your work place.
