Pharmacy Assistant - Band 2

Do you want to start your career in the NHS or in pharmacy? Do you want to be a part of a friendly, supportive and productive team?

We are looking for enthusiastic, conscientious and hardworking individuals to join out busy pharmacy team in Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Trust.

This role is primarily based in the dispensary where you will issue medicines accurately to each patient and ensure they are available when the patient needs them. You will have a direct impact on the patient's experience in the RUH by ensuring their prescription is ready for them when it is time for them to leave the hospital. You will also visit wards to check they have all the stock medicines they require.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn and have a keen eye for detail. You will have or be willing to undertake a NVQ level 2/apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Pharmacy Services. You will have good verbal and written communication skills, be a strong team player and be able to learn to use pharmacy computer systems to process prescriptions.
