Axon Moore are partnering with a rapidly growing eCommerce business based in North Manchester, which is one of the most progressive online businesses in the UK.

My client is seeking a Graduate Commercial Analyst to join the accounts team on a permanent basis. This would be the ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual looking for a busy, developmental role in a growing business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry) keen interest in learning new skills such as SQL.

You will assist department leaders using high volumes of quality data to guide focus and analyse costs and efficiencies. Based on the data provided, you will convert this into actionable insight to aid better decision making in the business.

Responsibilities include:

Business partnering with other departments to improve processes and reduce costs
Monitoring business KPIs to ensure they're being achieved
Looking at trading locations for suitability and efficiency, making improvements - relocating where necessary and finding new locations
Assisting the Property team with analysis to drive focus on finding new locations
Complete analysis based on minimising costs to the business around logistics and transportation.
Maintain and improve on existing excel models to minimise costs to the business while maximising profit
Use data analysis to find methods of improving efficiencies in the business.
Ad hoc analysis and involvement in profit optimisation projects.
Experience & Skill Requirements:

Degree in a highly numerate subject (Maths/Chemistry/Physics) or similar with a 2:1 or above.
Strong numeracy skills along with excellent Excel skills
Experience in collecting data from multiple sources, especially SQL
An enthusiastic and focused person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
A driven individual with the desire to learn and understand the business and help solve problems.
Confident and approachable manner and able to converse with senior management
