Duties may include:
  • Responsible for accurate processing, coding and matching of purchase invoices in accordance with company policies
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Timely management of internal and external purchase invoice and payment queries, escalating where required
  • Preparing, posting and recording supplier payment runs
  • Providing proactive assistance to the Credit Services team to achieve collection targets
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date customer details and account records
  • Process and generate sales invoices, credit note, reminder letters and statements
  • Assisting in the processing of journals and refunds to customers
  • Process bank transactions for daily reconciliation
  • Daily treasury tasks including Invoice Facility uploads and control account recs
  • Provide support and assistance to the Management Accounts team where required, including month end and statutory processes
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Assisting in driving forward process enhancement and procedural efficiencies
  • General ad hoc duties as required
  • To complete AAT qualification through Apprenticeship with Swindon New College

  • GCSE English and maths at grade C/4 or aboveor equivalent
  • x2 A-levels or equivalent

Future prospects

There may be further development opportunities within the Finance Team once the apprenticeship has been completed.

Things to consider

  • Must have the means to get to GL7 6BQ each day as the office is not on a public transport route, also to New College for studying
  • Will be expected to work from office
  • £4.20-£8.91 per hour depending on age/prior experience
  • You will need to complete pre-screening paperwork and have a chat with New College to discuss any experience, interest in the apprenticeship and how it is delivered
  • You will need to complete initial assessments in maths and English
