What the role involves:

We are offering an apprenticeship within our Oncology Translational Medicine (Genomics and Pathology) research teams. These positions will give a rounded set of skills and experiences in the selected research areas. They will also provide the opportunity to gain a unique insight into AstraZeneca's world-leading scientific research, enabling the development of a new generation of cancer treatments.

Desired qualifications

Five GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) including maths, English, and Science.

To have achieved or predicted to achieve a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent) including grade B or above in Biology or grade B or above Chemistry (96 UCAS points) depending on the role.

Future prospects

There is thefuture option to extend your apprenticeship within AstraZeneca to study for a further 2 years and gain a Level 6 BSc (honours) degree qualification.

Additionally, the apprenticeship is recognised by the relevant professional bodies at Registered Scientist (RSci) level.

Things to consider

This position is a 39-month fixed term contract opportunity based in Cambridge, offering £15,000 starting base salary + 11% benefits fund + bonus.
