Duties include:
  • Assisting with the implementation, management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the existing quality management system to ensure compliance to ISO9001 and IATF 16949
  • Assist with and perform Internal audits as per the internal audit plan
  • Support other departments in maintaining the requirements of the QMS
  • Assist with customer complaints investigation and corrective action implementation
  • Assist with the initial certification and implementation of ISO14001
  • Reviewing and maintaining quality documents
  • Assisting with the reporting of quality performance, including management review
  • Contribute to the formulation of quality strategy
  • Contribute to the formulation of output related customer satisfaction activities
  • Contribute to the formulation of supplier performance measurements
  • Responsible for deployment of Quality Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Plan and conduct audits/assurance in line with the organisation's audit plan/programme
  • Identify, investigate and contain non-conformances
  • Inspect/verify/validate a Product or Service against stated product requirements/acceptance criteria/service levels
  • Develop quality control/assurance plans for the product, service or project they are responsible for
  • Advise on and/or use tools and techniques to improve quality performance
  • Gather and analyse routine quality performance data and produce relevant reports
  • Guide and support others inside the Quality Function or in other functions to improve quality competence and quality performance
  • Support the development of new/changed products or services, through identifying/quantifying quality risks and contribute to the analysis and mitigation/prevention of these risks

Job Role:

The job is manufacturing based with a strong focus on supply into the automotive sector. There will be opportunities to have real working experience in all departments of a manufacturing company, from product development and sales to goods in, manufacturing itself, quality assessment and testing, as well as dispatch and supplier management. As a relatively product focused role, an appreciation for Chemistry or Engineering/Materials science would be highly beneficial.

As the role is based at our site in Wigan site preference will be given to someone that lives locally to the area or easily able to commute.

  • GSCE, or equivalents,in math's, English, ICT at grade C/4
