GBP24,000.00 per annum + benefits (including 33 days holiday, bonus, 4x life insurance, subsidised private healthcare and an extremely competitive pension scheme)
8:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Based at one of the following locations with additional travel when necessary (Belper - Derbyshire, Bristol, Elland - Leeds, Farnborough, Maidstone or Glasgow)
Our client is a growing and well-respected manufacturing company specialising in developing heating systems. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, enthusiastic and technically minded individual with a bachelor's degree in business or an engineering related subject. The candidate will have the ambition to grow within the company and will be able to adapt to different working environments. You will also need to be prepared to travel extensively, including relocating to a European country for 6 months of the initial 2-year programme.
Graduate Sales Engineer
Over the next few years, our client will be looking at innovating their products and making them more sustainable.
This role will be an initial 2-year graduate programme within the sales department of a prestigious and well-respected engineering company, with the intention of securing a permanent role when the programme ends
The successful candidate will start off working within the technical and service centres, learning about the businesses' products and systems before selling them to customers.
This role is predominantly focused on account management, meeting and building relationships with customers and clients, as well as upselling products through technical knowledge and sales techniques.
The client's main consumer market/customer base is focused towards commercial customers such as housebuilders, schools and hospitals, although you will occasionally have to discuss the products with engineers so they can in turn upsell the products also
Must be happy and willing to travel - 6 months of the 2-year programme will be based in a European location such as Germany, Spain, Slovakia or Turkey, with the remaining 18 months being based in the UK. You may also need to occasionally travel to other UK sites
Must be able to start in September or worst-case, early October
Bachelor's degree in either a related Business or Technical Engineering subject
Must have the right to work in the UK and Europe
Some form of work experience (this could be in the form of an internship or general work experience)
