About the apprenticeship


To learn all aspects of the day to day running of the office including, Sales: Communicating with customers, taking, and processing orders sending customer quotes Accounts: Invoicing, Purchase ledger, learning different aspects of the accounts process Logistics Management/Warehouse: Organising collections, deliveries Computer Skills: Updating sales information Price lists, Quotes, floor plans, etc Marketing: Communicating with the customers Working with Sage, Quotewerks, Excel, Word, Teams, Apptivo We would like the appropriate candidate to have an overview of the whole office environment, to engage with everyone and learn as much as they can about how we work and the processes we use. We see this as a gradual learning process.

Additional information

We will offer a probational Period of 6 months then after this time if everyone is happy and in agreement a new contract will be for a permanent position so the correct candidate can grow with the company.



Good computer and software skills, friendly, polite, respectful and presentable with a keen interest in furthering their knowledge, sometimes going that extra mile makes a big difference so we need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help wherever needed not afraid to try all aspects of the job, work well in a team but also independently of others, we are keen to go as paperless as possible so we want the applicant to show initiative in their thinking and not be afraid to put their ideas forward. Enthusiasm and a keen sense of responsibility and good work ethic. We are a small team, and all help each other. The right candidate will ask questions, be a problem solver and a forward thinker but not be worried to ask for help if needed.


We are looking for a 16 - 20-year-old with level 2 or above, or working towards level 2 and above.

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
