As a Packaging graduate, your role will be to support the Packaging Innovation Manager in developing new packaging and modifying existing concepts. You will be supporting the review of the structure of our packaging and looking for innovative solutions to ensure we provide our customer with designs to keep them ahead of the market.
You will contribute to structural and graphic design brainstorms to create new solutions which complement food innovation and maximise competitor advantage
Work alongside a cross functional internal team, and be customer and supplier facing
Work with talented product developers and chefs throughout the project to ensure the food and the packaging align for our customer
Have a direct link with our purchasing team to source, revise and develop new packaging concepts
Work with suppliers to translate our concepts into robust, viable commercial packaging solutions
Create and supply mock-ups to present your ideas to our customer. These will be in line with customer briefs and corporate social responsibility briefs, ensuring that samples are available in line with planned timelines
Source samples and cost of off the shelf packaging in line with Greencore specifications and sourcing policies to support the NPD programme
Present the packaging elements at internal review meetings to verify the suitability of packaging going into a manufacturing environment
Attend customer submissions, as required, to present new packaging concepts in alignment with the product submissions

What we're looking for

Someone who is organised and can juggle multiple projects at once and has a good work ethic.
This role is suitable for a graduate from a relevant creative course, for example Product Design or Graphic Design (but not limited to these specific courses).
A design background and familiarity with Adobe design packages
An understanding of packaging would be advantageous but we're happy to share our knowledge!
Comfortable in a fast paced environment
Good attention to detail
