This is an exciting time for the Trust's People and Organisational Effectiveness Directorate. Having completed most of a recent restructure reflecting the needs of our staff, there are a number of career opportunities in the Leadership, Culture and Organisational Development teams.

The successful applicant will lead on apprenticeships across the Trust, advising managers on development opportunities for both new staff and those already in post. They will be the expert lead representative for the organisation across the region (STP) on apprenticeships, contributing to the Excellence Centre work stream, leading on the implementation on the Apprenticeship Levy to ensure the Trust maximises on opportunities to utilise the Levy.

This role will also work closely across the People and Organisational Effectiveness Directorate, with Leadership, Culture and Organisational Development colleagues, and internal stakeholder managers to provide expertise and advice on highly complex matters ensuring all the organisation's strategies, policies processes, and practices centred around apprenticeships ensure that apprentices receive a high quality training experience and provide assurance that the Trust maximises on the income of the Apprenticeship Levy. The Apprentice Levy equates 0.5% of the pay budget currently estimated as a contribution of £1.2 million.

The role will ensure that the People and Organisational Effectiveness Directorate and Trust-wide leadership teams have accurate information on the Apprenticeship Levy and the organisational requirements to optimise this, making proactive business case recommendations where necessary. The role will ensure that the People and Organisational Effectiveness Directorate and Trust leadership teams have accurate information on statutory and mandatory training compliance. The post holder will review, revise, and implement new processes where required, including reporting and building on resources including e-learning, to optimise flexible access to all core learning and training.

The role holder will lead on the development of eLearning systems supporting the statutory and mandatory training agenda across the Trust, together with access to developmental learning offerings and a suite of core skills training. This will involve liaising with, and where necessary, producing procurement business cases for the use of external providers, as well as maintaining strong communications channels with the wider organisation's leadership teams and workforce, and statutory and mandatory training leads.

The role holder will be responsible for the development and effective management of administrative services in the Training and Development department, supporting the Head of Education, Training and Development in delivering the education and training agenda across the Trust and deputising as required.
