We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible and keen Painter - Multi-Skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our Estates team providing maintenance services to a large hospital and associated properties.

You should have completed a recognised building trade apprenticeship and have experience within a busy building environment, your duties will include carrying out preparation and decoration of areas within the trust on a cyclical and reactive basis, carrying out remedial works to a range of building fabric including making good to a high standard in clinical and public access areas, planned preventative maintenance, installation, modification and repairs to Trust plant, equipment and property including external doors, fire doors, access doors, wooden, plastic and aluminium windows, flooring, suspended ceilings, walls, fire proofing, interior and external signage and general decoration.

Applicants should have a good all round ability and must be capable of working on their own initiative and be able to plan and work independently as required with minimal supervision.

Current hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday; Annual Leave entitlement is 27 days plus bank holidays increasing to 33 days after 10 years' service.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
