South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Education Managers to join our South Education Team, in Whiteley, Hampshire on the possibility of a fixed term or secondment basis. This position is aimed either at experienced clinical team educators to enhance their clinical teaching skills or those candidates looking for an opportunity for personal development.

The successful candidates will support the Senior Education Manager by delivering clinical education courses and programmes from classroom to utilising technology enhanced learning and clinical simulation. The Trust has extensive education programmes ranging from non-clinical apprenticeships to paramedicine clinical training programmes planned for existing and new staff, in addition to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities and we are seeking an Education Manager to support and develop these programmes.

As an Education Manager, you will be responsible for an individual portfolio of education and to provide subject matter expertise as allocated by your Senior Education Manager. The Education Manager role provides clinical leadership, mentorship and training to trust-wide operational roles. The post offers an exciting opportunity and career development for someone with enthusiasm and dedication to maintaining the high standards and the advancement and evolution of current and future education practices, and the successful applicant will hold a valued place in the Education Team.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate outstanding clinical, supervisory and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal). Suitable candidates must work well under pressure remaining calm, focused and approachable. Successful candidates will hold current professional registration with degree level education. Successful candidates may be expected to undertake further formal educational programmes to meet the teaching requirements of the role and a positive attitude to personal development is expected.
