Are you an experienced oncology or haematology nurse looking for experience in a leadership role? Would you like to join a successful team delivering best patient care at the Royal free Hospital?

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated nurse to come and manage our oncology ward for 12 months to cover a secondment leave. Our cancer ward cares for patients with range of cancers who are receiving radioactive isotopes, chemotherapy, symptom management and supportive therapies and end of life care. The ward also looks after haematology and haemophilia patient and related systemic treatments.

You will lead the team, manage the budget, motivate staff, problem solve, role model and implement change. You will ensure the delivery of high quality care and safety. The ability to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team is essential. Cancer / Haematology experience is desirable. You must have ENB 998 (or equivalent) and ideally you will be educated to degree level or working towards it. You will be supported in this post by the ward team, Senior Matron for Oncology / Haematology and the Divisional Nurse Director.
