The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS trust plays a huge part in west Essex and east and north Hertfordshire's way of life.The trust runs a busy hospital,The Princess Alexandra Hospital and provides services at St. Margaret's Hospital and Herts and Essex Hospital. Together serve a population of around 350,000 people.

We have a temporary assignment for a Learning & Organisational Development Administrator available at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

This is an immediate start. Working hours for this role are Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm with a rate of pay £11.76 per hour.

As a Learning & Organisational Development Administrator, you will be working with all colleagues from across the organisation, using organisational development, learning and development, and staff engagement activities to help make colleagues and patient experiences the best they can possibly be.

Your role will include the:
  • Responsibility for progressing learning and organisational development (L&OD) activities tracking progress to ensure there are no delays, resolving and escalating issues when necessary to provide a smooth process. Coordinate arrangements for bespoke programme work, involving emailing a wide range of stakeholders and keeping track of responses in an organised manner
  • Manage online (Teams) events including set-up, invitations, handling queries, online support during the event, and follow up communications.
  • Plan and organise L&OD activities such as organisation wide leadership programs, OD bespoke programs and induction, which may sometimes require agenda planning and adjustments including booking speakers, booking rooms and notifying delegates
  • Provide advice to staff on a range of training policies and procedures e.g., study leave, use of eLearning and how to complete online training. Assist in producing key data on appraisals, apprenticeships, continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Provides system access to staff for accessing MyESR
  • Manage data collection for Appraisal update including: Update the Learning

Management System - OLM to record completion
  • Responsible for maintaining staff training profiles on OLM Learning Management System, including: Inputting application forms, Inputting attendance records
  • Maintain staff records using the Local HR management system. Maintain accurate records of learning and development activity, and provide basic reports as required
  • Assist in the preparation of appraisal, CPD, statutory and mandatory training and apprenticeship reports responding to and resolving any queries or discrepancies

It is essential you have the following:

  • Experience navigating EROS database (raise PO's in order to pay invoices and track progress via EROS)
    • Experience using Outlook (shared mailboxes), Word, and Excel (developing and maintain spreadsheets)
    • Experience collating accurate information/reports
    • Experience of working with confidential, sensitive data
    • Experience of delivering a high standard of customer service including dealing with people over the phone, face to face and via email
    • Ability to communicate clearly and with confidence to a range of audiences orally and in writing
    • Highly motivated and enthusiastic to learn/develop further
