An opportunity has arisen to for a Band 6 community mental health nurse to join Camden Assertive Outreach Team

The service aims to engage and treat service users with severe and Enduring Mental Illness, who are difficult to engage and may have a dual diagnosis of substance misuse. With smaller caseloads, we are able to work more intensively and deliver a team approach.

Although the successful post holder will act as care co-ordinator for a defined group of clients, the service utilises a team approach and has a flexible multidisciplinary team structure. This post ideally suits a Band 6 Nurse with experience of supporting individuals (and their families) with psychotic illness in a community setting. The successful applicant will also be encouraged to develop their leadership skills, supervise junior staff and will deputise for the Team Manager at times. Other development activities include peer support, regular supervision and participation ongoing professional development.

This is an excellent opportunity for practitioners to transition from a ward to a community environment, for Band 5s looking to move to a more senior role, or community clinicians who are looking for a change from their current posts.
